Jim Moon
Taxxess is the solo project of San Antonio electronic wizard Jim Moon, combining the raw intensity of industrial rock with danceable electronic beats into a dizzying, full-on assault on the senses, built to entrance the listener and warp their perception. His most recent full release is The Beast and the Dragon (2024).
In addition to his solo work as Taxxess, Jim Moon is the possessed electronics “processor” in ATX-based shoegaze band Bloody Knives. He’s mixed and mastered songs by ATX project Sinking, collaborated with Midifister, remixed songs by Petridish and Barbara Morgenstern (including her “Poose (Haunted)”), and shared bills with Pigface, Machinedrum, Peelander-Z, Octopus Project, and Ed Schrader’s Music Beat. Taxxess has also released music on Duskface Records, Telekosmik Records, and Fifth Dimension Records. Petridish returned the favor with an official video remix of Taxxess’s own track “Avoidance.”
